SEE BEYOND THE SPACE

Thoughtful Design for Spaces With More to Become.

VII House is a interior design studio shaping distinctive residential spaces through thoughtful design, visualization, renovation direction, and creative collaboration.

The Philosophy

Every space holds possibilities that aren't immediately visible. VII House approaches design by looking beyond what a space is today and considering what it has the potential to become.

Through thoughtful planning, material selection, visualization, and creative direction, each project is shaped around the way the client lives, the purpose the space needs to serve, and the feeling it should ultimately create. Every decision is made with intention, balancing function, character, and individuality to create spaces that feel considered rather than simply decorated.

At VII House, design is about uncovering what already exists beneath the surface—the overlooked opportunities, the unexpected details, and the ideas that can completely change how a space is experienced.

We don't simply redesign spaces. We reveal their potential.

Because when you can see beyond the space, you can create something extraordinary.

The Brick & Timber Kitchen

Warm timber, reclaimed brick, cream cabinetry, and deep green tile establish a kitchen that feels grounded, layered, and full of character. The design draws from traditional materials while introducing cleaner lines and more contemporary detailing, allowing old and new influences to exist together naturally. Each finish was selected to create warmth without making the room feel overly rustic, resulting in a space that feels collected, functional, and enduring. The overall direction reflects the VII House approach: uncovering the potential within familiar materials and reimagining them in a way that feels distinctly personal.

A dining room with a wooden table surrounded by eight upholstered chairs, a large white vase with yellow flowers in the center, a glass chandelier hanging from the ceiling, a window with beige curtains, and a door with glass panes leading outside. The walls are decorated with dark green tree-patterned wallpaper, and the floor is hardwood.

The Painted Grove Dining Room

Rich color, natural textures, and sculptural details come together to create a dining room feels intimate, expressive, and thoughtfully layered. The design embraces a stronger use of color while grounding the space with warm materials and classic forms, creating a balance between personality and timelessness. Rather than treating the dining room as a purely formal space, the concept was developed to feel inviting enough for everyday living while still carrying a sense of occasion. Every element works together to create an atmosphere that feels collected over time, giving the room character without sacrificing comfort or functionality.

A kitchen with three modern pendant lights, a large window above the sink, a vase with green and red foliage on the marble countertop, and cabinetry in a light neutral color.

Natural stone, warm brass accents, tailored cabinetry, and carefully considered contrast give this kitchen a refined yet grounded presence. The material palette was designed to feel luxurious without becoming overly polished, allowing texture, craftsmanship, and architectural details to remain at the center of the space. Warm metallic finishes soften the strength of the stone, while the cabinetry creates structure and visual balance throughout the room. The result is a kitchen that feels sophisticated but still approachable—a space where function and atmosphere work together to create an environment that feels intentional, distinctive, and built to remain relevant beyond passing trends.

About Us

I’m Dee, the founder and designer behind VII House. I created the studio from a belief that every space holds possibilities waiting to be revealed.

My hands-on experience with interiors, furniture, materials, and residential spaces has shaped an approach that is both creative and intentional. Rather than designing around one particular style, I focus on understanding how each client wants to live, how the space needs to function, and how the finished environment should feel.

I work closely with each client to develop their vision and bring it together through thoughtful space planning, furnishings, materials, color, and visual direction. Whether the vision is expressive or understated, modern or traditional, I approach every project with the same purpose: to create a space that feels distinctive, personal, and complete.

To me, interior design is more than decorating a room. It is about seeing beyond what is currently there and revealing what the space has the potential to become.

  • "I didn’t want my house to look like everybody else’s, and that was probably my biggest concern. The design felt different, but it still felt comfortable and like something I would actually live in."

    LAURIE PAYTON

    Residential Client

  • "We were renovating and honestly got overwhelmed with all the decisions. Having Dee there made it a lot easier because he could look at everything together instead of us picking things one at a time and hoping they worked."

    DALLAS MORENO

    Renovation Client

  • "I’ve worked around a lot of homeowners who know what they like but have a hard time explaining it. Dee is really good at taking those ideas and turning them into something we can actually work from."
